Delete your account

In the app

• Open Seam. Go to Account.
• Tap Delete account. Confirm.

You’ll see Delete account once you’ve signed in with Apple. Never signed in? Then no name or email is linked to your scans. They sit under an anonymous account that only your phone knows. Delete the app and that link is gone. We can’t tie those scans to you.

Can’t get into the app? Email david@actuallyai.co.uk from the address you sign in with. We’ll delete it for you.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it in your iPhone’s Settings. Tap your name, then Subscriptions. Otherwise you’ll still be charged.

What happens to your data

• Your login is deleted. That includes your email address and your Apple ID link.
• If you signed in with Apple, we ask Apple to cut Seam’s access to your Apple ID.
• Your scans move to a shared, unnamed account. We remove the device details and the 500-metre area. Only the postcode district stays.

We keep the photos and Grade Cards in this de-identified form. They help Seam grade better. De-identified isn’t the same as anonymous. With enough effort it could, in theory, be traced back to you. So we still treat it as personal data and protect it.

A few records stay under your old internal account number. These are your answers after scans, and records of purchases and referrals. Our Privacy policy lists exactly what we keep, and why.
